2. Personal data and purposes
Contact requests. When you use the contact form, we collect your name, email address and message. Any other information is processed only if you choose to provide it. We use these data to reply to your enquiry and manage pre-contractual communications (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). If an engagement follows, separate information applicable to the professional relationship will govern any additional processing.
Website operation and security. During navigation, the hosting provider may process technical information needed to deliver pages and protect the service, such as IP address, request times, browser information and server logs. The legal basis is the legitimate interest in providing a secure and functioning website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Our website code does not incorporate advertising profiling systems or Google Analytics. Contact messages are not used for automated newsletters or marketing. We do not use this website for automated decision-making or profiling.
3. Required information
Name, email and message are needed to send an enquiry through the form. Without these details, the form cannot be submitted. You may alternatively contact the studio by telephone or email. Please do not include unnecessary sensitive data or documents in your initial message.
4. Service providers and recipients
Formspree. Contact form submissions are processed by Formspree. Form fields are transmitted to that service and retained in the account according to the controller's settings and plan; messages may also be forwarded to the studio's email account. Formspree states that it hosts services in the United States and relies on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) for international transfers.
External resources. Your browser may connect to Google Fonts to load typefaces and to Unsplash to load some service photographs. Such requests normally disclose connection-related technical information, including IP addresses, to those providers. Portfolio photographs are hosted as local files on this website.
Hosting and email. The website hosting and email providers may process technical and communication data as necessary to deliver their services. Technical suppliers may access information only to the extent necessary for their functions and under applicable safeguards.

5. Transfers outside the EEA
Using Formspree and requesting external resources can entail processing or access outside the European Economic Area. Formspree states that its services are hosted in the US and that it uses SCCs. Other providers' safeguards depend on the services used and their current privacy documentation.
6. Retention periods
For enquiries that do not result in a professional engagement, the proposed maximum retention is 12 months after the last communication, unless a documented legal obligation or the protection of legal rights requires longer retention. For engagements, information is kept according to applicable professional and statutory obligations. Copies in email and Formspree systems must be managed in line with these rules. Hosting logs are retained according to the provider's configuration for no longer than necessary for security and operation.
7. Cookies and similar technologies
This version of the website does not include profiling cookies or analytics trackers in its own code. To remember that you have dismissed the privacy information notice, the website stores a local browser preference (localStorage, key studio-scardigli-privacy-notice-v58). This is not used for identifying visitors, analytics or advertising. You can remove it by clearing site data in your browser. Any cookies from external resources or the host must be checked against the live setup.
8. Your rights
Subject to GDPR conditions, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction and portability, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. Please contact the data controller using the details above. You may lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante).
